Camp Aramoni

I was thrilled to partner with Camp Aramoni, a boutique campground and event venue redefining Midwestern travel. Nestled on 96 acres of former 19th-century brickyard land near Starved Rock State Park, they feature 11 safari-style tents for upscale camping and the beautifully restored Bricks & Stones event space, ideal for weddings, retreats, and more.

Camp Aramoni approached me to create a custom map that would fit seamlessly with their brand while maintaining a bespoke, hand-drawn feel. I painted the map digitally, using vibrant colors to highlight the core areas of the campground and leaving surrounding regions in grayscale. This approach helped direct attention where it mattered most. I produced two versions: a large display map and a smaller, take-home version to guide guests throughout their stay.

The Map

Bringing Camp Aramoni’s map to life was a hands-on process. I used digital brushstrokes for an authentic hand-painted feel and incorporated on-brand, easily recognizable icons to guide guests around the campground. By blending rustic charm with clear design elements, I ensured the final map was both visually compelling and highly functional.
